The Summer is Serious Program is tailored for athletes entering Grade 7/8 in the fall who are looking to transform their game in the offseason! Athletes will develop key areas of their game necessary to excel on any team they play on. While also working on adding layers to their game so they are ready to step into a bigger role on their teams when the time comes.

*Exceptions may be made to the age requirement for athletes entering grade 6 in the fall of 2026 who have been involved in previous programming and shown the skill level and maturity required for a program of this nature

AAU basketball can make it difficult for youth athletes to truly develop over the summer. Oftentimes the majority of practices are spent on team concepts & plays - placing more value in a win now mentality instead of individual player development. It is also important to not forget that very few players receive interest/scholarship offers from post-secondary teams prior to grade 11/12.

At YXU Basketball we understand the importance of giving athletes the chance to play outside of their current role on their teams and fail during this process. We can then help provide the framework necessary to develop the skills, understanding, and ability to play in an increased role when that time comes!

During this program our athletes will receive premier on court instruction from our staff of current & former professional players while also developing their strength, body control, and athleticism off the court under the guidance of Kingston's top strength and conditioning coaches at UFit Kingston!

Summer is Serious Program Details

• 10 Week Program
• June 29th, 2026 - September 3rd, 2026
• 2x On Court/week (90 minute sessions - 30 hours total)
• 1x Strength & Conditioning/week (60 minute session - 10 hours total)
• 16 player max (Grade 7/8 - occasional grade 6)
• $945 + HST

*Athlete's enrolled in the Summer is Serious program will receive $75 off registration for both the 2026 Grade 6-8 Skills & Competitive Camps
